Date: Sat 4th April 2008
Match: AOE 1sts v Kidderminster ( Friendly. )
Result: Kidderminster 17 -- 15 Aston Old Eds
Report:

In a strong wind Kidderminster made most of the early running and established a real territorial advantage which called upon Aston to perform strongly in defence with Wood outstanding in this regard. The home side took the lead with a penalty after thirty minutes but Aston replied with a strong attack and Tate bulldozed his way over the line from twenty metres with the conversion going astray. Half time saw the visitors with a two point lead and Kidderminster had now to play into the wind. They made a powerful start to the half, keeping play tight and with a succession of rolling mauls, crossed Aston's line twice and converted both tries. Aston were stung and rallied strongly with scrum half Watts marshalling his troops well. Concerted attacks from backs and forwards brought a deserved reward in the form of a try for Allsopp but it went unconverted and Kidderminster carried the day.

The Seconds claimed a walkover victory against Ludlow who turned up short with Pulley scoring a try for Aston but the Thirds went down 11 - 0 at Kidderminster
